ABOUT FLOATING
Floating depicts three stories of characters in their twenties exploring existentialism, masculinity, and culture through their conversations with one another.
In Dreams, a heartbroken Bonnie describes a dream about her ex while her friend Juan, an insomniac, struggles to overcome his own existential anxieties. How to be a Man portrays two men, Sadiq and Matt as they struggle to be honest and vulnerable with one another. The last story Mahal, follows Pablo and April, a couple who wander through the streets of the South of Market area discussing their past lives and the love that binds them together through generations.

MEET THE ARTIST
Nathan Aurellano
Nathan Aurellano is a director, writer, and producer from Pacifica, CA.
His work focuses on Asian-American identity, masculinity, and young adult malaise. He is currently a grant recipient at Balay Kreative, as well as a former fellow of the Bay Area Video Coalition.
His most recent film, White Friends has also been shown at the Kearny Street Workshop in their 2021 'Embrace' showcase.
