The Love We Pass On: MAHAL in Photographs — Kreative Growth 2026 Exhibition Recap
For three weeks, 447 Minna held something tender. MAHAL has come down from the walls of CAST SF now, but the love it gathered hasn't left the room — it lives in the people who moved through slowly, who lingered at Gelli Pascual's portraits and Tanza J. Solis's altars of reclaimed material, who filled the prompt board Gelli built with the kinds of love they want to pass on. To everyone who showed up: salamat. To Gelli and Tanza, who trusted us with work this intimate; to Dre Sibayan, Jy Jimmie Gabiola and the team of volunteers who built the show; to Jared and CAST SF and support from Gina, Julia and Sarah of Brave New Spaces; and to the San Francisco Arts Commission and Grants for the Arts for making room for it — thank you.
These photographs by @Yaredship (Tanya Yared Photography) are how we keep that evening close. As you sit with them, we leave you with the question Gelli asked the room: What kind of love do you want to pass on?
