In the Room Where it Happened: Audition and Callback Workshops for Performing Artists
How do you choose a monologue that perfectly fits your style and your type? What is a contrasting monologue? How do you prepare for callback? Auditioning is a specific skill set that becomes a calling card for an individual artist; it is one of the first of many opportunities for an artist to show their craft, technique, and talent - a way to get in the room where the creative process happens!
In this workshop, performing artists will gain valuable knowledge on how to select materials for general auditions and learn how to stand out in the callback process. This workshop will provide tips, techniques, and tools on how performers can hone and shape their monologue materials and gain valuable feedback that can help them be seen and be remembered. All participants will get a chance to meet, connect, and build networks with one another and create community!
PRE-WORKSHOP PREPARATION
