Balay Kreative is launching Kreative Growth: Masterclass, a professional development series for artists and creatives looking to sustainably grow their practice.
This 9 class intensive bootcamp will equip applicants with the tools they need to build a strong team, navigate grant writing, promote and strengthen their brand through social media, and more.

Mindset & Leadership Workshop
Date: Tuesday, September 29th
Shifting how we think about our artist practices towards growth, success & sustainability with Art of Hustle’s Anthem Salgado.
Anthem took all of his experiences as a storyteller, an out-of-the-box thinker and doer, and as a cultural worker to conjure a business entirely from scratch that continues to reflect community values in combination with his major findings for career longevity.
Building a Team Workshop

Finding Experts & collaborators to work with when you have no budget.
Featuring Jason Bayani of Kearny Street Workshop, Sammay Dizon (healer, interdisciplinary artist, singer-songwriter, producer, and educator), Kat Evasco (writer, stand up comedian, performance artist, and educator), and Desi Danganan of Kultivate Labs and Plinth Agency.
Monetization Strategies Workshop
Date: Tuesday, October 6th
Utilizing multiple hustles to generate income and utilizing online platforms.
Featuring Kush Arora of Empire Records, Karla Garcia of HAMILTON: An American Musical, Kristian Kabuay (artist & entrepreneur), Ning Recio (motivational speaker and host, a singer-songwriter, voiceover actor and business coach), and Andre Sibayan (illustrator and designer).
Money Fundamentals Workshop

Tools for saving, separating, and organizing your money as an independent artist.
Currently based in San Francisco, Kristian has been tirelessly advocating a reawakening of the indigenous spirit through decolonization and Baybayin. Conscious of the role he plays, Kristian launched his own company around the script specializing custom art, translations, books and apparel.
Intro to Grants & Foundations Workshop + Funder Panel

Demystifying the grant application process and speaking with funders to learn more about what funders look for.

Grant Writing Workshop
Date: Thursday, October 15th
Tools and process for writing effective artist grant applications.
Weston has served three years as an appointed member of the Berkeley Civic Arts Commission where he chaired the grants committee and served on the policy committee. He also worked for the Community Investments program (formerly Cultural Equity Grants) of the San Francisco Arts Commission for eight years.
Social Media with Kirstie Bones

Curating and maximizing your social media to create engaging content.
Kirstie Bones is a content creative & art director who helps people connect with other people by making shareable, snackable content & design that stirs up a meaningful ruckus. Kirstie does 2d animation, motion graphics, illustration, art direction video editing, and graphic design. Past and present clients include Airbnb, Instagram, Google, Dolls Kill, Gallo Wines, and Clif Bar.
